It’s India Week at Bolles!

The Bolles India Club is sponsoring many activities highlighting Indian food, culture and history during India Week on the Bolles Upper School San Jose Campus.

India Week is March 22-26. It is one of several culture- or language-specific weeks staged during the school year. The focus provides students the opportunity to showcase languages they are learning or familiar cultures with their campus peers, faculty and staff.

On Monday, March 22 students made chalk Rangoli drawings in Schultz Hall and offered mandala coloring opportunities for students learning from home. A samosas and mango lassi sale during Activities period on March 23 will benefit Ekal Vidyalaya, a nonprofit that promotes education across rural India. FLIK Independent School Dining, Bolles’ food management company, is preparing India food for lunch in Verlander Hall and student organizers will screen part of a Bollywood movie on March 25.
