International Education Week Celebrates Intercultural Competency

The Bolles Local Global Council, along with the Global Scholars, hosted International Education Week November 18-22 on the Bolles Upper School San Jose Campus.

The sidewalk leading to Ulmer Hall was lined with flags from around the world to set the stage for an exciting week in which the Bulldogs participated in the following activities:

Monday, November 18: Flag Painting
Students gathered on the Ulmer Patio to paint flags they felt represented them and their families.

Tuesday, November 19: Bulldog Passports
Students presented their experiences with international travel programs in the Chahlavi Center for Global Learning and Engagement.

Thursday, November 21: Snapshots in History
As part of the Grandparents’ and Special Friends’ Day celebrations, Bolles families were invited to submit brief stories and photos that students used to create a display highlighting the multiculturalism of our families.

Friday, November 22: Global Games
Students enjoyed playing soccer and cricket on the Bolles Hall lawn.
