Intercultural Council Launches with Reflective Activity

On December 11, upper school students on the newly formed Intercultural Council gathered in the Class of 1946 Alumni Conference Room for their inaugural meeting. The session focused on setting the tone for the year ahead, building relationships and establishing a shared sense of purpose.

Bolles upper school Multicultural Leadership Team lead Carrie Ezzell said students and faculty participated in a reflective activity called Timeline of Differences, during which participants collaboratively identified moments in their lives when they first recognized their own differences or diversity.

“Through thoughtful discussion and shared reflection, the activity fostered connection, empathy and mutual understanding,” Ezzell said.

The Intercultural Council was created to promote belonging, celebrate diverse identities and experiences and encourage meaningful dialogue that strengthens the Bolles community.
