Innovative Spanish Lessons Encourage Learning through Play

Bolles lower school language teacher Linda Farber created immersive educational opportunities for students learning Spanish on the Bolles Lower School Ponte Vedra Beach Campus on April 16.

Third graders participated in a lesson on El Pueblo in the Wotiz Outdoor Learning Center “The Treehouse,” where Farber set up stations, including La Escuela, La Biblioteca and La Tienda. The students spoke Spanish with the fictional workers at each station and asked questions to complete their worksheets.

Fourth graders also dove into a Spanish lesson where they acted out a restaurant scene in their classrooms, reading lines and using props to discuss food-centered Spanish vocabulary with their classmates.

Muy bien, Bulldogs! #BollesPVB
