Homecoming Parade Kicks Off Week of Festivities

The 2023 Bolles Homecoming Court and senior fall athletes kicked off Homecoming Week with a parade on the Upper School San Jose Campus and Lower School Whitehurst Campus on Monday, September 25, during Activities.

The seniors wore their court sashes and athletic uniforms, waving at their peers on the River Campus and the lower school students who lined the sidewalks of the Whitehurst Campus. The little Bulldogs enthusiastically cheered and chanted for candy that the seniors tossed from their vehicles. View photos from the parade here.

The Homecoming parade marks the beginning of Homecoming Week this school year, with students participating in the following dress-up days based on this year’s theme of U.S. cities:

  • Monday, September 25: Western Wear (Dallas)
  • Tuesday, September 26: Mardi Gras (New Orleans)
  • Wednesday, September 27: Hawaiian Attire (Honolulu)
  • Thursday, September 28: PJ Day (Sleepy Hollow, New York)
  • Friday, September 29: Bolles Spirit Day (Jacksonville)

The upper school students will also compete in a kickball tournament hosted by the Bolles Student Activities Committee. The championship game will be held on Friday afternoon during the Homecoming Pep Rally before the students enjoy a festival on the Bolles Hall lawn. Bolles lower school students will also enjoy a Lower School Homecoming Family Picnic on Friday evening ahead of the Homecoming football game.

The varsity football team will take on the Episcopal Eagles at 7:30 p.m. on September 29 on Hodges Field at Skinner-Barco Stadium. To purchase tickets to the game, visit
