During a special virtual convocation this week, School and student leaders announced plans for Homecoming 2020. The annual celebration, which typically is a weeklong demonstration of school spirit before the Homecoming football game, will be longer this year – and also more inclusive of all Bolles campuses.
While Homecoming “Week” will be September 21-24, organizers are stretching the week out over eight days to allow both halves of the upper school student population to participate on campus. This year’s theme for dress up days is “Day at the Movies.” For the first time in Bolles history, students on all four campuses are invited to participate in Homecoming theme days. These special costume days include Decade Day, Movie Candy Day, Movie Night (pajama day) and a spirit day. Two pep rallies in the stadium are planned on separate days for the Bolles Upper School San Jose Campus. Organizers also expect to move forward with a physically distanced and masked halftime Homecoming pageant.
Unlike past years, Homecoming 2020 will not include a festival or parade on the Friday of Homecoming. But with more students participating this year, the bulldog Homecoming spirit is sure to be epic.
The September 3 convocation also included an announcement of the 2020 Homecoming Sweet Heart Court. Nominated by their peers for their demonstration of The Bolles Way, school spirit and service, the Sweet Heart Court includes the following senior students:
