Bolles alumnus Charles Hicks ’19, a redshirt freshman at Stanford, placed seventh in the 10,000-meter run at the NCAA Championships in Eugene, Oregon on June 8 to earn First Team All-America honors. Ten runners in the race bettered the previous NCAA Championship record with Hicks besting his personal record by 37 seconds. His time of 27:47.63 (4:28/mile) ranks second all-time at Stanford, currently ranks third in 2021 and 23rd all-time in the United Kingdom (Hicks represents the UK internationally) and ranks first all-time for runners under age 23 in the UK.
Hicks will compete in the 5,000-meter run Friday at 9:55 p.m. ET. The race will be broadcast live on ESPNU.
