Halloween Fun Across All Bolles Campuses

Bolles students on all four campuses enjoyed a Halloween filled with costume parades, trick-or-treating, pumpkin drops and fall festivities this year.

Students and faculty on both lower school campuses showcased a wide array of characters during the morning costume parades. “Kpop Demon Hunters” characters were a popular choice among the Bulldogs, along with fan favorites from “Beetlejuice,” “Ghostbusters” and classic Disney films.

Ponte Vedra Beach Campus Head Suzanne Carlino led her faculty and staff in a colorful tourist theme. The students circled the campus a few times—showing off their creative costumes to the delight of their friends and family—before huddling up for Flag outside in the crisp fall air. Whitehurst Campus Head Dr. Christy Lusk dressed up as a cat lady, surrounded by her crew of faculty and staff felines—with drama teacher Daniel Austin embodying a particularly sneaky cat burglar who stole the Champ medal during Flag! Parents as well as upper school students, faculty and staff, lined the sidewalks to wave to the young Bulldogs on parade. View photos from the Whitehurst Campus parade here.

On the Middle School Bartram Campus, costumed students enjoyed trick-or-treating during Activities Period. Bolles Middle School Head Josh Bauman was Dr. Jekyll to drama teacher Michael Fritton’s Mr. Hyde, and the faculty and staff embraced a heroes-versus-villains theme. Students also competed in a pumpkin decorating contest, with English teacher Morgan Teichert’s Advisory coming out on top. The decorated pumpkins were ceremoniously dropped from the second floor of Murchison-Lane Hall for a lively “Pumpkin Chunk.” For photos from the Bartram Campus, visit our online album here.

Upper school students also joined the costume fun, portraying characters from sailors and cowboys to Sully from “Monsters, Inc.” and Maleficent. The Bolles Dreams Come True Club also hosted its annual Pumpkin Drop from the south Bolles tower to raise money for those served by the nonprofit. Junior Ava Ludwig ’27 earned the honor of tossing the large pumpkin by being the closest to guessing its weight - an impressive 53 pounds! The Frank R. Sanchez & Hope and Dana E. Fender Center for Innovation looked especially festive, with 3D-printed decorations adorning the windows of the Shad Robotics Lab. Earlier in the week, upper school students also volunteered at the Whitehurst Campus Pre-K Halloween Party, helping young Bulldogs with crafts, temporary tattoos and more. Have a happy and safe Halloween, Bulldogs! #BollesFamily
