Grade 5 Students Bond on Overnight Field Trip

Bolles Grade 5 students from the Lower School Whitehurst and Ponte Vedra Beach Campuses traveled to Starke, Florida, April 4-5 for an overnight field trip with Pathfinder Outdoor Education. This organization's mission is to deliver fun, challenging adventures that help people learn about themselves, others and the environment.

The entire experience was designed to help Grade 5 students build friendships across both lower school campuses and ease the transition to middle school next school year.

The fifth graders participated in a challenge course, climbed trees and rock walls and hiked through the wilderness as they connected as a class. The day ended with the Bulldogs roasting marshmallows over the campfire, eating s’mores and reflecting on the day’s adventures before turning in for the night.

Thank you to the Bolles teachers and staff who made this trip possible – especially those who accompanied these young Bulldogs and helped make their experience all the more special!
