Grade 5 Bazaar Raises Funds for Dreams Come True
Grade 5 students on the Bolles Lower School Whitehurst Campus staged their annual Fundraising Bazaar in Copeland Library May 10, raising more than $2,000 for Dreams Come True.
In tandem with a dress-down day fundraiser held earlier this year, the Bulldogs have now raised about $3,000 for their Kids Helping Kids Dreams Come True initiative. The fifth graders will use the money raised to support a special Disney trip for a “dreamer” and their family.
The bazaar is always an imaginative showcase of distinctive business, marketing and product development ideas. Students team in small groups to develop $1-3 products or services to market at the bazaar, including treats, games, toys and other creative offerings. A constant stream of schoolmates rotated through the “market” throughout the morning, helping the fifth graders raise important funds for the sponsorship of their dreamer.
