Golf Teams Enhance Training with Indoor Practice Space

The Bolles boys’ and girls’ golf teams are benefiting from enhanced training opportunities with the installation of the Golf Practice Facility at Colmery Skills Physical Development Center located on the ground floor of Skinner-Barco Stadium. The area includes a new Trackman, a market-leading launch monitor and simulator.

The new space provides practice opportunities when inclement weather or golf course availability is limited. In addition to having convenient, climate-controlled space on the San Jose Campus, the Trackman technology produces real-time data and valuable feedback for the Bolles golfers to analyze their swing as they work on improving their game.

The overall space also serves as a team room, allowing the golf program to have a dedicated place on campus to gather and practice, helping to build the culture of the program.

The Golf Practice Facility was made possible by a lead gift from Will and Zanne Burke. The couple have been longstanding advocates for the Bolles Annual Fund and complimented the coaching staff and administration for sharing the vision with them. Specifically, they expressed appreciation for the coaching staff’s deep commitment to player development. Other contributors to the project included the Day Family, the Catlin Family, the Mitchel-Grajales Family and the Pierce Family.
