Girls’ Crew Earns Medals at Scholastic Nationals

Four boats from Bolles Girls’ Crew competed at the Scholastic Rowing National Championships, held May 22-23 in Oak Ridge, Tennessee. Two of the boats advanced to the grand finals and earned medals.

Bolles placed second in the grand final of the Lightweight 2x with rowers Jillian McLaughlin ’27 and Esmee Jeannin ’28. Coming in third in the Senior 4+ was Maggie You ’27, Broward Kavanaugh ’28, Presley Swain ’27, Sophia Zhang ’28 and coxswain Chi Vo ’27.

Bolles advanced the semifinals in the Junior 4+ (Cami Walker ’27, Isa Leao ’27, Annabelle Duce ’29, Laya Pakala ’29 and coxswain Chi Vo ’27). Bolles also competed in the Senior 2x  (Olivia Bassin ’27, Lizzy Watkins ’26).

Bolles Crew will next send three boats to compete at the USRowing Youth National Championships, held June 11-14 at Nathan Benderson Park in Sarasota.
