Last weekend, Bolles French students competed in the Congrès de la culture française en Floride, Florida’s state-level French competition event and did very well despite a challenging practice season timing.
Though the team had not been able to participate in the event since the beginning of the pandemic and could not send a full team because the competition was during spring break, students who were able to attend the competition in Orlando March 10-12 performed at a high level and enjoyed the team camaraderie. Bolles French teachers Sara Phillips-Bourass and Danielle Jones chaperoned the trip and competition.
Students in all upper school French classes contributed to the competition in one way or another, either by recording an event to submit virtually or by helping with the scrapbook (album) project. The results are as follows – prizes awarded were in three levels: bon, excellent and supérieur.
