Bolles alumna Katie Fites ’21 is among 22 contestants selected to compete on NBC’s upcoming reality competition series, “The Traitors: New Blood.” The new civilian edition of the Emmy Award-winning franchise features everyday Americans vying for a prize fund worth up to $250,000.

Hosted and executive produced by Alan Cumming, the series challenges contestants to work together as "Faithfuls" while attempting to identify and eliminate hidden "Traitors" within the group. Meanwhile, the Traitors secretly "murder" players throughout the season in an effort to claim the prize for themselves.

According to NBC, more than 80,000 people applied to participate in the inaugural civilian season before the final cast of 22 contestants was selected. Fites, a Jacksonville native and marketing manager, is among those chosen to compete.

In a pre-season interview with Entertainment Weekly, Fites described herself as a strong people person whose ability to connect with others could be an advantage in the game. "I'm incredibly competitive," she said, adding that she believes her outgoing personality and ability to adapt to changing circumstances will help her navigate the show's twists and alliances. She also noted that she would prefer to play as a Traitor because of the strategic control the role can provide.

During her time at Bolles, Fites was a member of the Bolles Dance Company and appeared in several theater productions, including "High School Musical" and "Mamma Mia." Following graduation from Bolles in 2021, she attended Florida State University, earning her degree in 2025.

The special two-hour premiere of “The Traitors: New Blood” airs Thursday, September 17, on NBC. New episodes will air Thursdays at 8 p.m. ET and stream the following day on Peacock. Good luck, Katie!
