Fifth Graders Celebrate Dreamer
group of kids

The Bolles School supports Dreams Come True each year through the hard work of several Dreams Come True and Kids Helping Kids clubs around campus. Whitehurst Grade 5 students, in particular, have been working hard during the past semester to raise funds for the organization. On May 16, students hosted a special afternoon party for Logan, a local dreamer who has been battling B-cell acute lymphoblastic leukemia since he was 1.5 years old.

The fifth graders raised nearly $3,300 through a lower school bazaar, where they sold items they made themselves. As a result of their efforts, students were able to apply the funds toward a weeklong dream Disney vacation for the young dreamer and his family.  Their fundraising was so successful, students were also able to give him $1,100 to spend while he and his family are on their vacation.

Bolles is a longtime advocate for Dreams Come True. It was the first school to participate in the organization’s Kids Helping Kids program when it was established 26 years ago. There are three Kids Helping Kids clubs supporting Dreams Come True on the Bolles Lower School Whitehurst Campus, Middle School Bartram Campus and Upper School San Jose Campus.
