With freshman year just a few months away, eighth graders on the Bolles Middle School Bartram Campus spent the day learning about life on the Bolles Upper School San Jose Campus. Students started the morning on the Bartram Campus in their advisory groups talking about the transition ahead. Later, they boarded a bus for a trip to their future campus. Upper school Junior Mentors provided tours of the school, showing students where some of their freshman classes will be held. A riverfront pizza picnic sold them on the reality that being a Bolles upper school student is pretty cool – and amazing! Counselors from the middle and upper school campuses organized the event with execution by the Junior Mentors, a group of students who help shepherd younger peers through transitional points of the Bolles experience.
