Dream Finders Homes Donates $6 Million for New Athletic Performance Center at Bolles

The Bolles School is proud to announce a landmark $6 million philanthropic gift to fund the creation of a state-of-the-art Athletic Performance Center on its Upper School San Jose Campus. This transformative donation, given by Patrick Zalupski of Dream Finders Homes, marks a pivotal moment in Bolles’ commitment to excellence in student-athlete development, health and wellness.

The new Dream Finders Homes Athletic Performance Center (DFH-APC) will be a leading-edge facility designed to elevate training, recovery and education for Bolles athletes across all sports. The center will feature advanced strength and conditioning equipment, integrated sports science technology, and a dedicated recovery room with plenty of space for teaching, learning and leadership development.

“This extraordinary gift reflects a shared vision for empowering our student-athletes to reach their full potential—physically, mentally and academically,” said Bolles President and Head of School Tyler Hodges. “The Dream Finders Homes Athletic Performance Center will be a cornerstone of our campus, reinforcing Bolles’ reputation as an international leader in athletic and academic excellence.”

Zalupski emphasized that Dream Finders’ support of student-athletes reflects the company’s mission to build strong foundations both in homes and in the next generation of leaders who will shape the future of the communities we call home. “Bolles student-athletes consistently represent the highest national standards of academic achievement, character, teamwork and performance. Dream Finders Homes is honored to support student-athletes who will continue to carry the Bolles legacy forward, both on and off the field,” Zalupski said.

Facility highlights include:

  • Advanced strength and conditioning equipment
  • Hydrotherapy room
  • Training and recovery room
  • Weight room and indoor turf for practice with views overlooking Skinner-Barco Stadium and Hodges Field
  • Covered, 40-yard outdoor turf practice field
  • Nutrition Zone

Construction is projected to begin in 2026 with the conceptual estimate of the project being $12 million. The 12,000-square-foot facility will be accompanied by an additional 13,000 square feet of covered practice field. The DFH-APC facility will serve all Bolles athletes, from middle to upper school, and will also support coaches and visiting professionals in sports medicine and performance science.

“This gift is a game-changer,” said Bolles Athletic Director Rock Pillsbury. “It allows us to provide our students with the very best tools, knowledge and environment to thrive in the classrooms, on the fields, courts and pools.”

The Bolles School extends its deepest gratitude to Patrick Zalupski and Dream Finders Homes for their visionary generosity and unwavering support of student growth and achievement.
