Dr. Trainer Returns to Talk Zoology with Grade 3 Students

Former longtime Bolles President and Head of School Dr. John E. Trainer Jr. returned to the Bolles Lower School Whitehurst Campus on September 29 to share his expertise in zoology with Grade 3 students, including an overview of animal classification.

Hosted by lower school faculty members Beth Zerkowski and Jennifer Moore in the iLab at the Copeland Library, Trainer explained how scientists group and classify animals, helping students build a foundation for their study of animal behavior.

Later this year, the third graders will continue their study of animal behavior in iLab by programming VEX AIM robots to mimic animal behaviors and designing and sewing their own stuffed animals.
