Cross Country Postseason Off and Running with Boys’ District Title

Bolles cross country teams at the varsity, junior varsity and middle school levels competed in postseason events in recent days with impressive results. The varsity boys won their 11th district title in a row and 18th overall at the District 2-2A Championships at Bishop Kenny on November 3. The girls placed third at the district meet. The Bulldogs placed second in both the girls’ and boys’ team results at the North Florida JV Championships at BK on November 1. Bolles placed second in the private school girls’ division and was fourth in the boys’ race at the Middle School State Championships in Lakeland on November 1.

Arrian Sharma ’26 led the varsity boys at the district meet as the individual champion. The girls were led by Sofie Stam ’29 in sixth and Kavya Patel ’27 in seventh at the district meet. At the JV Championships, Francesca Tapley ’28 led the Bolles girls as the individual winner, Mei Ning Chen ’29 was runner-up in the girls’ race and Luke Meiners ’28 led the Bolles boys with a fourth-place finish. Elizabeth Christie ’30 led the Bolles girls at the middle school state meet with a seventh-place finish. Yahya Barakat ’31 led the middle school boys with a 20th-place individual finish.

The varsity teams next compete at the Region 1-2A Championships at Cecil Field on Friday, November 14. The girls race at 7:30 a.m. and the boys race at 8 a.m.
