Bolles senior Diya Comar ’27 has founded Salt & Soul, an initiative focused on coastal awareness, water stewardship and public health education in Florida.

According to a feature in the Ponte Vedra Recorder, Salt & Soul combines data, tools and local action to help people understand how the ocean’s health is directly connected to ours. The initiative tangibly shows readers how small and informed choices can make a difference.

Comar drew inspiration from her experiences surfing in Jacksonville Beach, as well as her participation in the Scripps Scholars program at the Scripps Institution of Oceanography and a Summer Environmental Sustainability program at the University of Florida.
