Caitlin Collier ’18 debuted in the World U20 Track and Field Championships by winning her heat in the first round of the women’s 800-meter run. Collier clocked 2:11.30, well below her personal best, to cruise into the semifinals. Her next race will be on July 11 at 10:10 a.m. ET. The race will air live on the Olympic Channel.

Collier qualified for the world junior meet, held in Tampere, Finland, with a second place finish at the USA Track and Field Junior Outdoor Championships in June. Her best time of 2:00.85 leads all competitors in the world championships field. Collier is also qualified in the 1500-meter run; the opening heats will be run July 13.
