The College Board Advanced Placement Program designated 256 current Bolles students and recent alums as AP Scholars for their exceptional achievements on college-level AP Program Exams. This figure continues to increase annually, honoring a long tradition of academic excellence at The Bolles School.

The group earned an average score of 4.14 on their exams, with nearly two-thirds of the Class of 2026 recognized on all three AP Scholar levels: AP Scholars, AP Scholars with Honor and AP Scholars with Distinction. One-hundred-and-eight students from the Class of 2027 were recognized by the College Board, and the Class of 2028 produced 17 scholars. 

The College Board's AP Program offers students the opportunity to take challenging college-level courses while still in high school, and to receive college credit, advanced placement, or both, for successful performance on the AP Exams.

The designation of AP Scholars is granted to students who receive scores of 3 or higher on three or more AP exams. Of the 55 Bolles students who received the honor, 19 are graduates of the Class of 2026 and 36 are current students.

AP Scholars with Honor is a title granted to students who receive an average score of at least 3.25 on all AP exams taken and scores of 3 or higher on four or more of these exams. Bolles had a total of 42 students in the category this year, including 27 current students.

AP Scholars with Distinction are students who receive a 3 or higher on at least five AP exams and have a minimum AP average of 3.5. One-hundred-and-fifty Bolles students were named AP Scholars with Distinction this year, including 61 current students.

Six Bolles graduates and students also received AP Capstone Diplomas and three earned AP Seminar and Research Certificates. AP results are cumulative, and current students may complete another year of college-level work and possibly earn another AP Scholar Award next year.
