Seven Bolles upper school students competed in the Florida Vocal Association’s annual Solo & Ensemble Festival, held at Douglas Anderson School of the Arts on January 28.

Bolles Middle and Upper School Choir Director Meredith Mormann said each student performed two solo pieces for highly qualified adjudicators and then got to work with their judge for a few minutes in a mini-voice-lesson style.

The choral students who participated were Katherine Asbury ’24, Aisha Hasan ’23, Isa Landa ’24, Meghanne Posick ’26, Tori Sessions ’28, Ashkon Shirazi ’24 and Jaice Wilkins ’25. Overall, these students earned four Superior ratings, qualifying them for the state-level Solo & Ensemble in March, and three Excellent ratings. Landa also received a perfect score.

Congratulations to these talented singers!
