The Bolles boys’ tennis team defeated host Fernandina Beach 4-0 to win the Region 2-2A Final on April 24 to advance to the state tournament. Michael Zhang ’26 won 6-1, 6-3 at #1 singles, Juan Abenia Ruiz ’27 won 6-4, 6-3 at #3, Luke Kunkle ’25 won 6-4, 6-2 at #4 and John Baumann ’26 won 6-3, 7-5 at #5 to clinch the Bulldogs’ win.

The Class 2A Team State Tournament takes place Wednesday, April 30 – Friday, May 2, at Red Bug Lake Park in Orlando. Bolles will face North Bay Haven in the state quarterfinals. View the boys’ team bracket here.

The Bolles girls concluded the team tournament in the region final, but Rafa Neel ’27 qualified in singles for the individual state tournament, as well as in doubles with Grace Dunton ’25 as they won district titles at the #1 positions. The individual state tournament takes place during the same dates as the team tournament, with matches played at Sylvan Lake Park.
