Boys’ Swimming Wins Independent Schools National Title
boys and girls swim team with trophies

The 2024-25 Bolles boys’ swimming team has been named the top independent school team and ranked third overall in the nation by Swimming World magazine. Swimming World announced the rankings September 9. In the girls’ standings, Bolles ranked fourth among independent schools and eighth overall.

Bolles was national champion in the boys' 400 free relay (Xavier Sohovich '25, Antoine Destang '25, Liam Carrington '26, Andy Kravchenko '25). Other scoring swims for Bolles were the 200 medley relay in third (Carrington, Eldad Zamir '25, Destang, Charlie Zuhoski '26), the 200 free relay in third (Kravchenko, Zuhoski, Tristan Dorville '25, Destang), Sohovich in the 200 free (4th/school record - 1:34.92) and 500 free (9th/school record - 4:20.27) and Kravchenko in the 50 free (13th) and 100 free (15th).

All times produced by athletes in high school competition are scored using a 16-place system. Swimmers are limited to two individual events and two relays, per high school rules, and Swimming World representatives ensure each school’s entries reflect their maximum scoring.

This marks the 13th independent school national title for the Bolles boys’ program. The Bolles boys have also claimed nine overall national titles.
