Bolles Wins County-wide Student Voter Registration Competition

Duval County Supervisor of Elections Jerry Holland stopped by the Bolles Upper School San Jose Campus April 23 to present the Freedom Award Trophy, given to the school that wins a county-wide student voter registration competition.

Bolles won in the medium private-school category, earning the title of the “Most Civic-Minded High School in Duval County” for registering 19 eligible student voters during the annual Bollapalooza event hosted by the Bolles Parent Association. The Supervisor of Elections determines the winners in each category based on the number of registrants when compared to a school’s enrollment size.

Bolles President and Head of School Tyler Hodges, Associate Head of School Andrew Forrester, Assistant Head of Upper School Piper Moyer-Shad ’91, Director of Global Learning and Engagement Allison Chandler and a group of students accepted the Freedom Award Trophy in the Chahlavi Center for Global Learning & Engagement.

Well done, Bulldogs! #BollesSanJose
