Bolles Well Represented at Regional Science Fair

Seven Bolles students competed in the Northeast Florida Regional Science and Engineering Fair, NEFRSEF, on February 10. Each student received some type of award, with five students placing in their categories and three earning first place.

Four students have been selected to compete in the State Science and Engineering Fair in Lakeland, Florida, this March.  For the first time in the history of The Bolles School, two students will be going to ISEF! Brad Bullington, Bolles Science Teacher Science Fair Coordinator, will accompany Yash Gulani '20 and Rishi Misra '20 to the International Science and Engineering Fair in Anaheim, California, this May.

Sophomore/ 10th Grade

Aman Shaik

Title: Edith – A Novel Deep Learning Model to Detect and Respond to Cyberbullying on Instagram

Category: Behavioral and Social Science

Award/Recognition:

  • 1st Place in Behavioral and Social Science
  • Special award from the American Psychological Association for outstanding achievement in psychological science.
  • Special award cash prize from Johnson and Johnson for project excellence in Behavior Sciences
  • Selected to compete at the State Science and Engineering Fair in Lakeland, Florida


Junior/11th Grade

Avani Bansal
