Bolles Swimming and Diving Wins Region Meet

The Bolles boys’ and girls’ swimming and diving teams swept the team titles at the Region 1-1A Championships, held November 8 at Bolles. The teams combined to win 15 events.

Individual event winners for the Bolles girls were Leah DeGeorge ’20 in the 200 free and 500 free, Sasha Ramey ’21 in the 200 IM, Emily MacDonald ’21 in the 50 free, Adair Sand ’20 in the 100 free and 100 back and Carly Schwab ’20 in the 100 breast. Bolles also won the girls’ 200 medley relay (Faith Khoo ’21, Schwab, Ramey, MacDonald), girls’ 200 free relay (MacDonald, Megan McGrath ’22, Ramey, Sand) and 400 free relay (McGrath, Sand, Kara Gavin ’20, Camila Batista ’19).

Paul DeGrado ’19 won the 200 IM and 100 breast for the Bolles boys. Bolles also won the boys’ 200 medley relay (Jackson Kirk ’20, DeGrado, Daniel Bowen ’20, Adrian Grant ’19), 200 free relay (Ansen Meyer ’21, Ethan Thomas ’19, Rafael Ponce DeLeon ’20, Noah Emerson ’19) and 400 free relay (Ponce DeLeon, DeGrado, Thomas, Kirk).

Bolles next competes at the Class 1A State Championship, held at the Sailfish Splashpark Aquatic Athletics Center in Stuart on Friday, November 16. A live broadcast will be available on the NFHS Network.
