Two Bolles swimmers, student Leah DeGeorge ’20 and Sharks club member Kensey McMahon, were named to USA Swimming’s 2018-19 National Junior Team roster on September 13. DeGeorge was selected for the 5,000-meter open water swim and McMahon was selected in the 400 free, 800 free, 1500 free and 10,000-meter open water swim.

National Junior Team athletes are selected based on FINA rankings. Open water National Junior Team members qualified based on the results of the 2018 USA Swimming Open Water National Championships. DeGeorge placed second in the junior 7,500-meter swim and McMahon, competing in senior level events, placed fourth in the 5,000-meter swim and eighth in the 10,000-meter swim.
