Bolles Hosts Spanish Exchange Students

The Bolles School hosted 16 upper school students from Colegio San Agustín in Madrid, Spain, from January 8-18 as part of the Bolles Spanish Exchange Program.

The visiting students were welcomed with a reception in Bolles Hall, where Bolles Associate Head of School Andrew Forrester formally greeted the group and their teachers. During their nearly two-week visit, Bolles International Programs Coordinator Kristin Hong said the Colegio San Agustín students fully immersed themselves in life as a Bolles student, staying with host families and taking classes with their new friends.

The visiting students enjoyed a full cultural and academic experience, taking part in hands‑on activities like 3D modeling and culture and language sessions while also exploring major local sites during trips to St. Augustine, Kingsley Plantation, Fort Caroline and First Coast News followed by a tour of Downtown Jacksonville. They also spent several days with their host families before departing as a group.
