Bolles Athletes and Coaches Earn State Awards

Two Bolles student-athletes and two coaches earned recognition in the 2025-26 Florida Dairy Farmers High School Sports Awards for the fall season. Jake Gibbons ’15 was named Class 1A Swimming and Diving Coach of the Year, Steven Stam ’00 was named Class 2A Boys’ Cross Country Coach of the Year, Liam Carrington ’26 was named Class 1A Boys’ Swimmer of the Year and Xander Edwards ’28 was named Class 2A Football Player of the Year.

Gibbons helped Bolles continue its impressive streak of state championships in girls’ and boys’ swimming and diving, adding a national and state record, four school records and winning 16 events at the state meet. Stam guided the boys’ cross country team to its ninth state title in program history. Carrington was a part of the boys’ 200 medley relay breaking national, state and school records in winning the event at state, he won the 100 free in a school record and helped Bolles win the 200 medley and 200 free relays as well. Edwards led the state in rushing with 2,629 yards and 44 touchdowns and broke the state single-game rushing touchdowns record with eight.
