Bolles Announces New Director of Resident Life

After a comprehensive national search, we are pleased to announce Ray Edmond as our new Director of Residential Life. Edmond has significant experience in Resident Life and a vast background in working with diverse student populations, student success and engagement, providing academic and college counseling support and building community within a residential setting.

Edmond is currently the Assistant Head of School for Student Life and Dean of Students at Asheville School for a community of approximately 300 students. He has been in this role since 2021. He also held the role of Head Basketball Coach at the independent day and boarding school. Prior to his roles at Asheville, he was Director of College Counseling and Dean of Students at Caldwell Academy in Greensboro, North Carolina. Edmond has 15 plus years of leadership experience in school administration and holds a Master of Education degree in Educational Management from Strayer University in Knoxville, Tennessee, and a Bachelor of Science in Computer Information Systems from Guilford College in Greensboro.

Regarding his new role, Edmond stated: “I am incredibly grateful and honored for the opportunity to join The Bolles School community. I hope to continue strengthening the connections between students and faculty across campus. This is an exciting time for the Bolles community, and I’m thrilled to contribute to the ongoing work of sustaining and strengthening the safe, welcoming, inclusive and vibrant environment where our students thrive.”

Edmond will move to Jacksonville to begin his new role on July 1. Please join us in welcoming him to Bolles and to the Bolles Resident Life family!
