The Bolles Middle School Bartram Campus opened its Black History Month observance with a performance by Blessed Sounds, a musical trio led by Bartram faculty member Michael Stephens, on February 9. The group, formed by high school friends more than 30 years ago, shared a blend of gospel, jazz and blues for students and faculty.

Blessed Sounds began its work in the church and later deepened its musicianship through formal training. The trio continues to focus on building community through music and creating meaningful connections in each performance. The group includes Dr. Mark McKnight on drums, the Rev. Lawson J. Boddie on keys and Stephens on saxophone. #BollesBartram
