Bartram Campus Celebrates Community Connections

In the spirit of Homecoming Week, the Bolles Middle School Bartram Campus proudly hosted its inaugural Community Connections Day on October 8—a special chance to step away from the regular schedule and come together to celebrate and show gratitude for our School community.

The day began with a morning convocation that set the tone for the celebration. Members of the varsity football team spoke passionately about the importance of community and camaraderie, building excitement for Friday night’s Homecoming game. Watch their message here. Students also participated in a lively trivia competition, learning fun and meaningful facts about their dedicated and talented teachers.

Throughout the day, students engaged in cross-grade activities, designed to strengthen bonds across grade levels. These collaborative experiences encouraged teamwork, laughter and the creation of lasting memories.

One of the most meaningful components of the day was group interviews with Bolles administrators and staff members. Students had the opportunity to sit down with members of the Bolles team—including School leadership, bus drivers and grounds crew as well as theatre, operations and food service professionals—who work behind the scenes to make each day exceptional. Through these conversations, students gained a deeper appreciation for the roles these individuals play in their daily lives, connected with the interviewees as people and learned the value of gratitude and respect. See video below to learn more about this activity.

The day wrapped up with a special all-Bartram viewing of the fall play, “Kick the Can.” This artistic performance brought the entire campus together, highlighting the power of storytelling and the arts in building community. The cast and crew of “Kick the Can” will put on one more show the evening of October 9 at 7 p.m. in Parker Auditorium. View pictures from the play here.

Community Connections Day gave students a chance to slow down, connect with one another and appreciate the people who make Bolles feel like home. Thank you to everyone who made this day so memorable! View more pictures from Community Connections Day in our online photo gallery. #BollesBartram
