AP Spanish Students Meet With JU Professor
JU Spanish Prof

Students in Adriana Stam’s AP Spanish Literature and Culture class performed a critical analysis of an Argentine play with Jacksonville University Professor Jorge Majfud in the Bolles Chahlavi Center for Global Learning & Engagement February 14.

Students were tasked with reading the play, “El hombre que se convirtió en perro” by Osvaldo Dragún and analyzing it prior to the exchange with Majfud.

Majfud is a professor of Spanish, Latin American Literature and International Studies at Jacksonville University. He listened to students analyze the socio-economic context of the economic crisis in Argentina in the 1950s and 1960s as well as the play’s literary devices and themes.

The Chahlavi Center for Global Learning & Engagement is located in Ulmer Hall on the Bolles Upper School San Jose Campus and offers students and faculty space and resources to connect with peers worldwide.
