AP Art Fair A Celebration of Creativity
The Bolles Fine and Performing Arts Department hosted its annual AP Art Fair on March 20 for the first time in the Frank R. Sanchez & Hope and Dana E. Fender Center for Innovation (Sanchez Fender CFI) on the Bolles Upper School San Jose Campus.

AP 2D Design, AP Drawing and AP 3D Design students exhibited their art portfolios on multiple levels of the Sanchez Fender CFI, showcasing their ideas and concepts and welcoming feedback and dialogue from visitors to the fair.

Throughout a year-long process, Bolles AP art students create three main portfolio components: 15 artworks in their Sustained Investigation, five artworks in their Selected Works and their Written Evidence.

“They have invested time, energy and dedication to building their portfolios,” said Bolles upper school fine arts teacher Lily Kuonen. “They were excited to share it with our School community.”

Dozens of students, faculty and staff members who attended the fair learned about the artists’ ideas, experimentations and concepts as they perused the exhibit, admiring various works ranging from paintings and drawings to photographs and sculptures.

A big “bravo” to our AP artists! To view pictures of the AP Art Fair, visit our online photo gallery. #BollesArts
