Anatomy Students Host First-Ever Stress Health Fair
students at booth

Students the Anatomy class of Piper Moyer-Shad '91 hosted a Health Fair December 6 on the lawn in front of Bolles Hall. The event, which was a classroom project and the culmination of semester work, was an opportunity for students to share their research and educate the community on effective ways to relieve stress.

Moyer-Shad said the students were very engaged in the work and enjoyed the opportunity to showcase what they had learned. Students selected a type of de-stressing activity, then applied scientific research and testing to their project. Much like a science fair project, their work had to be displayed and organized for public consumption. Each booth included visual displays and brochures, live demonstrations and other resources that attracted upper school peers to visit during Activities period. Stress-relieving activities and items on exhibit included yoga, positive messaging, coloring, meditation, aromatherapy, a therapy dog, flowers, exercise and several others.
