Alumni Connections Continue This Spring

As the school year comes to a close, Bolles welcomed its final round of alumni guest speakers, capping a year of valuable connections between students and graduates across a variety of fields.

Earlier this spring, Anna-Catherine McCrary ’14 returned to the Bolles Upper School San Jose Campus to guest lecture students taking Science of Diseases with fellow alumna Jen Willis ’05. McCrary shared more about her journey from Bolles to her role as a public health analyst with the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention.

The year also wrapped up with the final Muffins & Mentors session on April 23, featuring Jodie Snyder Morel ’00, co-founder of the globally recognized brand DANNIJO. In a small-group setting, she spoke with students about entrepreneurship, creativity and building a brand with global reach.

On April 27, Bolles Class of 2013 valedictorian Elizabeth Surratt Woods ’13 visited the San Jose Campus to speak with psychology students about her work as a mental health therapist, including the disorders she treats and her specialty in clinical hypnotherapy. Woods also spoke at the Upper School Academic Banquet as the keynote speaker.

Together, these visits reflect a strong tradition of alumni engagement now amplified by the new J. Malcolm Jones Mentorship Program. Alumni interested in getting involved with the program can fill out this survey or contact Bolles mentorship program coordinator Ellie Dalkin at DalkinE@Bolles.org.
