Alban Arts and Innovation Center Coming to Bolles Middle School Bartram Campus

Leaders of The Bolles School are thrilled to announce plans for the Alban Arts and Innovation Center on the Bolles Middle School Bartram Campus, made possible by a lead gift from Bree Ringhaver Alban ’96 and David Alban.

This $4 million renovation project involves significant updates to historic North Hall, which once served as the beloved home of the girls’ boarding program and was one of the original buildings from the campus’ early days as the Bartram School for Girls.

The renovation will reimagine the space as a vibrant innovation and fine arts facility, featuring dedicated areas for art, band and chorus programs, along with a state‑of‑the‑art innovation lab that supports Bolles’ ongoing commitment to innovation across all academic departments and campuses.

Bolles President and Head of School Tyler Hodges said this facility will serve as a hub for creativity, performance, problem-solving and collaboration, reinforcing Bolles’ mission to educate the whole student.

“Renovating North Hall into the Alban Arts and Innovation Center allows us to honor Bolles’ history while investing in what lies ahead,” Hodges said. “We are grateful to the Alban family for their leadership and belief in the power of arts and innovation to shape confident, creative learners.”

Bolles Chief Advancement Officer Carol Nimitz noted the Alban family’s long‑standing ties to the School, including their daughter, Carson ’33, and emphasized the role the family’s lead gift plays in advancing this carefully planned Bartram Campus investment.

“This project will play an important role in shaping the middle school experience at Bolles for years to come,” Nimitz said. “We are thankful for the Alban family’s support and for the care and intention this gift brings to a space designed with students at its center.”

As plans for the Alban Arts and Innovation Center continue to take shape, additional naming opportunities remain for members of the Bolles community to support the project. Please contact Bolles Chief Advancement Officer Carol Nimitz at NimitzC@Bolles.org for more information.
