Actors Shine on Outdoor Stage

The 2021 Bolles spring play, William Shakespeare’s “Midsummer Night’s Dream,” opened April 29 in a new campus venue – an open-air stage on the Bolles River Campus overlooking the St. Johns River.

Directed by Bolles Director of Fine and Performing Arts Laura Rippel, the captivating performance showcased students’ acting talents and ability to get creative with staging and logistics during pandemic challenges.

“Midsummer Night’s Dream” also will be performed April 30 at 7 p.m. and Sunday, May 2 at 2 p.m. for a reserved audience.

The cast includes: Sophie Grace Posick ’22 as Hermia; Aidan Curran ’23 as Lysander; Maggie Boyd ’23 as Helena; Jake McGraw ’21 as Demetrius; Kris Stam ’21 as Theseus/Oberon; Grace Maroon ’21 as Hippolyta/Titania; Atticus Dickson ’22 as Egeus/Tom Snout; Brenna Hughes ’21 as Philostrate/Robin Goodfellow; Sadie Craddock  ’21as Nick Bottom; Kate Burton ’23 as Mistress Quince/Peasblossom; Evan Wolpoff ’24 as Francis Flute; Kyla Bullock ’24 as Snug/Mustardseed; and Carmen Roundtree ’23 as Robin Starveling/Cobweb. The production crew includes Technical Director Andy Payne and Camden Pao ’22 as running crew.
