Bolles Chinese students delivered a fantastic performance in the 17th Annual National Chinese Essay Contest, a competition hosted by the Chinese Language Association of Secondary Schools.

In consideration of this year’s special circumstances, contest organizers challenged students to write an essay called “A Time Capsule from the Year 2020.” Students were required to select three items for a time capsule that demonstrated what their lives have looked like during the COVID-19 pandemic. Judges assigned essays merit awards in four levels: Gold, Silver, Honorable Mention and Participation. All 14 Bolles students who entered essays in the contest received merit awards in the top two categories.
