Registration Deadline for the June 14 ACT Test is May 9. Applications are available in the College Counseling Office or online at www.actstudent.org.
Cross Country: If you are interested in running cross-country this fall, conditioning will continue this week on Tuesday at 3:45 p.m. and Wednesday and Thursday at 4:05 p.m. All boys and girls who would like to come out for the team are welcome to attend. We meet at the track. If you need further information or have any questions about the cross-country program, please see Coach Ryan in Bolles Hall room 250.
Attention Art History Students interested in a field trip to New York City, March 2009: Mrs. Edelman and Mrs. Meatte are hosting a breakfast (food will be provided) meeting in Mrs. Meatte’s room FA-104 during Zero Hour to discuss the upcoming trip for those students who have taken or who have signed up for either AP or regular Art History for the 2008-09 school year. If the meeting is poorly attended we will assume that there is not enough interest in the trip, so please make it a point of attending on Monday, May 12 at 8:00 a.m. in FA-104.
CLUB MEETINGS/UPCOMING EVENTS
If you are interested in forming a team for the San Marco/San Jose Relay for Life, you can get an information sheet on Ms. Moyer’s door B-218. Relay for Life will be held this year on May 16, and 17 at the DuPont Middle School. Get up to 18 service hours and spend the night raising money with your friends for a very good cause! Mitton Award Ballots: It is time to vote for the Mittons. Mitton Awards are given to performers voted to be the best in each production this year. Ballots are available at the switchboard and attached to the bulletin board outside of McGehee. Voting will be open through May 7th and ballots must be turned in person to Ms. Connelly or Mrs. Nettles.
The School is investigating the possibility of an enlarged Canteen structure that would include the campus store and several student activities functions. There will be some construction related work occurring next week related to this investigation. Please pay careful attention to any signage or notices about staying clear of equipment being used.
Seniors: Graduation announcements have arrived and should be picked up in the Campus Store.
Attention students: If you are interested in applying for a campus parking space for next school year, please stop by the Dean’s Office and pick up an application. Forms will be available starting on Monday, April 7 and need to be completed and returned to the Dean’s Office by Friday, May 9. Due to the anticipated number of students filling out applications, not all students will be guaranteed a spot on campus. Thanks for your understanding and please stop by the Dean’s Office with any questions.
