CONVOCATION/CLASS MEETINGS

Sophomore Leadership Council will meet on Friday, Feb 1 in the Alumni Boardroom during Activities.

TODAY’S EVENTS

Registration Deadline for the March 1 SAT Test is January 29.   Applications are available in the College Counseling Office, or online at www.collegeboard.com.

Attention Students:  The deadline for changing a semester course is Tuesday, January 29.  After that time, it is too late to add a semester class, and dropping any class requires a petition.

NEW ANNOUNCEMENTS

Junior Day will be Thursday, Jan 31 during periods 6-8: Hilf/Marks/Riedeburg Advisees in the College Counseling Office.

Junior Day will be Friday, Feb 1 during periods 1-3: Ryan/Smith Advisees in the College Counseling Office.

The Purple Group will be going over to the 5th grade on Thursday, Jan 31 at 12:30 p.m.  Please meet in front of the Fine Arts Building.

Interested in attending a cooking class that will benefit the Sulzbacher Center?  Then please sign up for a class on Ms. Moyer’s bulletin board B-218.  If you have any questions please see Maggie Howell.

Congratulations to the JV Quiz Team for winning three out of four matches in the competition on Saturday. The team advances to the next round on Saturday, February 9.

Quiz Team Emergency Recruitment Drive:  Because three team members have conflicts, we are desperately seeking participants for the competition on Saturday, February 9, at Wolfson High School from 8:00 until noon.  If you are interested, please see Mrs. Tyler, Kyle Morgan or Matthew Silverstein.

National Honor Society: There will be a mandatory meeting for all current members during Activities Period on Thursday January 31.  This is an important planning meeting for the upcoming NHS tapping and induction ceremonies.

Congreso Candidates and Alternates:  There will be very brief meeting Thursday, Jan. 31, during Activities in Srta. Machado’s room U-207.  Please bring ALL signed forms and, for those of you in the play, bring your scripts.  If you have any conflicts, please see your Spanish teacher or Srta. M. Beforehand!  Gracias!

CLUB MEETINGS/UPCOMING EVENTS

Students:  Please submit your nominations of fellow students for President’s List for Quarter 2.  Forms may be picked up from Mrs. Nettles at the switchboard.   Nominees must have made a significant contribution to the Bolles Community or represented Bolles in a positive manner in the community at large during the second quarter.

Any boys interested in joining the Weightlifting Team, please meet in the weight room on the San Jose Campus at 4:00 p.m. on Monday, February 4.

Anyone interested in getting involved in the planning of Homecoming 2008, (ideas for a theme will be discussed) please come to a meeting in the Varn Boardroom on Thursday, Jan 31 during Activities.  If you have questions, or cannot make it but still want to be involved, please contact Mandy Fatemi or Savannah Wood.

To all the students of Mr. Smith’s first semester art classes: due to lack of space you must come by and pick up any art or tools that you left. If not picked up by Friday, Feb 1, they will be recycled or tossed out.

Would anyone who might have pictures of the Girls’ Junior Varsity Soccer Team please bring them to S-104 during 8th period or please give them to Mary Beth Wilk, Haley Hakimian as soon as possible. Thank you!

Leigh Meadows will meet on Wednesday, Jan 30 in the cafeteria from 4:00- 5:30 p.m. Please join us to play Bingo with our visiting children.

Girls’ Volleyball: All girls interested in playing volleyball next year, please attend a very important meeting on Thursday, January 31 in Davis Gym during Activities.
