Second Quarter Honors Convocation for grades 9-12 on Monday, Feb 11 during Activities in the Davis Gym.

NHS Tapping on Thursday, Feb 14 for grades 11-12 during Activities in McGehee.

Senior Meeting for Bright Futures will be Friday, Feb 15 during Activities in McGehee.

Notice to all students that the training room will be closed Wednesday, Feb 6.

Youth Against Cancer will be meeting on Wednesday, Feb 6 during Activities in Mr. Lyon’s SL-103. This is a very important meeting, so please try to attend.

Attention Sophomore Leadership: Our Wednesday, Feb 6 meeting has been changed to Friday, Feb 8 during Activities.  We will have a guest speaker and we will meet in the Varn Board Room.

Curious to see who you are most compatible with?  Come to the flagpole Wednesday, Feb. 6 during 4th and 5th lunch to fill out a free Data Match Survey.  Compatibility results may be purchased for $3.00 on Valentine’s Day, Thursday, Feb 14.  If you have any questions, please ask Mandy Fatemi.

There will be a meeting for Mu Alpha Theta members competing in the Feb 9 UNF competition during Activities on Wednesday, Feb 6 in Mrs. McCombs room B-224.

The Winter Dance is fast approaching!  Tickets will be on sale starting on Wednesday, Feb 6 through Tuesday, Feb 12.  They are $20 a couple or $15 per person.  Tickets cannot be purchased at the door so please buy them in advance.  Cash or check only.  The dance will be on Sat, Feb 16 on the Bolles campus.  If you have questions please see Blake Joel or Mimi Southall.

Would you like to bring a non-Bolles guest to the Winter Dance?  You will need to grab a yellow form from the door of B-218.  It should be turned in when you purchase your tickets Feb 6 – Feb 12.  Please be reminded that no tickets will be sold at the door, and no guest will be permitted in without a form already on file.  One guest per Bolles student.  Thank you!

The Chinese Club will sponsor Chinese Week during the week of Feb 4-8. All the activities will take place on the Bolles campus and will center on the Chinese Culture as well as the Chinese New Year.

If you are looking for community service hours, The Summer Special Olympics Games are being held at Bolles on Saturday, Feb 23.  Also on that day is the 21st Annual Greenscape Flowering Tree Sale.  Please see the flyers in the Info Hut or Ms. Moyer’s bulletin board B-218 for more information. 

CLUB MEETINGS/UPCOMING EVENTS

This Thursday, Feb 7 there is a Bolles Girls’ Basketball meeting.  This meeting is in the Davis Gym during Activities.  Please have all of your uniforms, practice jerseys, and warm-ups in your basketball bag.  Please see Amanda Zakoske or Coach Stevenson with any questions.

JV Quiz Team Practice:  We will practice on Thursday, February 7.

Winter One Acts:  Everyone is welcome this Friday and Saturday night Feb 8 and 9 to come and see the student directed winter One Acts “Take Ives.”  It will be a fast-paced evening of comedy sure to entertain all.  We look forward to seeing you there!  Shows start at 7:30 p.m. in McGehee Auditorium.

Senior Girls: Looking for the perfect graduation dress?  The Bridal Shop near The Avenues at 9365 Phillips Highway will present a trunk show of suitable, well-priced graduation dresses from 5:30-7:30 p.m. on Tuesday, February 12.  Please be sure that the dresses are at least mid-calf (tea length).  If you cannot attend the show, you are welcome to visit the store at your convenience. Flyers are available at the receptionist’s desk, and in Mrs. Tyler’s and Ms. Moyer-Shad’s offices.

All international students on F-1 visas must see Mrs. Marks this week to register with Homeland Security.

Attention Sophomores:  You may pick up your PLAN score report from your advisor.  Please do so by Friday, Feb 8.

Interested in attending a cooking class that will benefit the Sulzbacher Center?  Then please sign up for a class on Ms. Moyer’s bulletin board B-218.  If you have any questions please see Maggie Howell.

Juniors, sophomores and freshmen looking for a leadership development experience may be interested in attending the South Florida Leadership Training Camp this summer.  It runs from July 21 through July 26 at Nova Southeastern University in Broward County.  Five first-time delegates will be eligible per school.  If you are interested, please see Ms. Moyer in B-218 by the end of February.

Late Registration deadline for the March 1 SAT Test is February 7.  Applications are available in the College Counseling Office or online at www.collegeboard.com.  

Quiz Team Emergency Recruitment Drive:  Because three team members have conflicts, we are desperately seeking participants for the competition on Saturday, February 9, at Wolfson High School from 8:00 until noon.  If you are interested, please see Mrs. Tyler, Kyle Morgan or Matthew Silverstein.
