TODAY’S EVENTS
If you are interested in going to the Winter Dance on Saturday, the last day to buy tickets is today Tuesday, Feb 12. They will be sold at the flagpole during Activities and during both lunches. All tickets must be purchased in advance. Cash or check only. Boarders must pay for their tickets.
Be advised that all non-Bolles guests coming to the Winter Dance must have a guest form turned in to Ms. Moyer or the Dean’s Office today Tuesday, Feb 12. Your guest will not be permitted to the dance without a form already on file. It cannot be filled in at school, so please pick one up today to get it back on time tomorrow.
Attention all Track athletes and parents! Tuesday, Feb.12 is the first track meet. It is the annual inter-squad meet consisting of only Bolles students. Following the meet, we will have our pre-season dinner for the athletes and their parents at the Bolles Gym at 6:00 p.m. It will be followed by a parents meeting and we should be finished by around 7:15 p m. Please RSVP to Annette Leisure or Julie Sears ASAP. Coach Dearing and staff look forward to seeing you at this important event to get organized for the season ahead.
NEW ANNOUNCEMENTS
All seniors who are Florida residents must attend a MANDATORY meeting about the Bright Futures Scholarship Program on Friday, Feb 15 during Activities Period. You must attend even if you do not plan to attend a Florida college or university. Attendance will be taken.
There will be a donut sale at the flagpole on Wednesday, Feb 13 to benefit the Freshmen Class. Yummy, hot donuts!

Auditions: Auditions for the spring Comedy- “Dear Mr. Shakespeare, Please Forgive Us” will take place in McGehee on Wednesday, Feb 13 at 4 p.m. Everyone is welcome, and there is no need to prepare anything. Rehearsals will be every day so please consider your commitments and schedule before you audition. If you have any questions please contact Ms. Connelly.
There will be a Food Bank Club meeting Wednesday, Feb 13 in Mrs. Fluegel’s room B-136 during Activities. We will talk about our next workday, so please try to attend. Any questions please contact Matt Stupski.
Leigh Meadows will meet in the cafeteria on Wednesday, Feb 13 from 4:00-5:30 p.m. Please join us for a Valentine activity with our visiting children and earn service credits.
Japanese Club Members: Please come to this very important meeting on Wednesday, Feb 13 during Activities in Sensei’s room, U-114. We will be discussing the upcoming fundraising, including the bake sales and the DDR Competitions. Please bring your dues if you have not done so already!
Valentine’s Day Candy Grams on sale for $1 each. Girl boarders will be selling them February 13 at the flagpole. [This is also the time to drop off candy grams ready to be delivered.] Send a personal note to a friend and have it delivered on February 14 with a lollipop. All proceeds will benefit Heifer International, which provides training and animal gifts that help communities around the world become self-reliant.
Girls’ Graduation Attire: The bulletins announcing the Bridal Shop’s show of suitable graduation dresses refer to them as “gowns,” but they are DRESSES—not traditional graduation gowns that are worn with mortar boards by seniors at other schools.
Anyone interested in working at Bolles Day Camp this summer please stop by and pick up an application from Mrs. Nettles at the switchboard. In addition, anyone interested in working to earn volunteer hours also needs to complete an application and return it to Mrs. Nettles in the Academic Office by March 1.
The Campus Store will be closed on Thursday, Feb 14 and Friday, Feb 15 for inventory.
If you are looking for community service hours, The Summer Special Olympics Games are being held at Bolles on Saturday, Feb 23. Also on that day is the 21st Annual Greenscape Flowering Tree Sale. Please see the flyers in the Info Hut or Ms. Moyer’s bulletin board B-218 for more information.
Juniors, sophomores and freshmen looking for a leadership development experience may be interested in attending the South Florida Leadership Training Camp this summer. It runs from July 21 through July 26 at Nova Southeastern University in Broward County. Five first-time delegates will be eligible per school. If you are interested, please see Ms. Moyer in B-218 by the end of February.
