TODAYS EVENTS
Do you like Puppy Chow? If so, come to the flagpole on Monday, April 14 during Activities where the Humane Society Club will be selling it for $3 a bag. All proceeds go to homeless dogs and cats. Hope to see you there!
We are very fortunate to have Dr. Michael Thompson visiting Bolles today Monday, April 14. Dr. Thompson will be speaking to 9th-10th grade students during fifth period in McGehee Auditorium. All 10th graders should eat lunch 4th period on Monday, and then all 9th and 10th grade students will report to the auditorium at the end of 4th period. Students should sit in their regular convocation seats. Dr. Thompson is a consultant, author and psychologist specializing in children and families. He is the clinical consultant to The Belmont Hill School and has worked in more than five hundred schools across the United States, as well as in international schools in Central America, Europe and Asia. A dedicated speaker and traveler, Michael Thompson has appeared on The Today Show, The Oprah Winfrey Show, ABC 20/20, CBS 60 Minutes, The Early Show and Good Morning America. He has been quoted in the New York Times, The Washington Post, Newsweek, Time and U.S. News and World Report and has been a guest on NPR's "Morning Edition" with Susan Stamberg, "Talk of the Nation" with Ray Suarez and the Diane Rhem Show.
Cheerleading tryouts are set for the week of April 14-18 for all girls in grades 8th-11th.

Reminder! Language Honor Societies Inductees. There will be an Induction Ceremony rehearsal today, Monday, April 14, during Activities. Please be prompt! This is the ONLY rehearsal before the actual ceremony on Wednesday, April 23.

NEW ANNOUNCEMENT
The final MANDATORY Junior Seminar will be held Thursday, April 17! You have watched the seniors experience stress, elation, disappointment, confusion – a multitude of emotions. Some things they could have avoided, and others they could not. A panel of soon-to-be Bolles alumni will tell you what they would do differently (and the same) if they could turn back time.Note: All junior seminars will be held in McGehee Auditorium during Activities period.
All Mu Alpha Theta members attending the State Competition should attend a meeting Wednesday, April 16 during Activities in B-224.
Leigh Meadows will meet Wednesday, April 16 from 4:00 -5:30 p.m. in the cafeteria. Please join us for an activity and snack with the visiting children.
For all who plan to participate in Bolles Dance classes next year and are not enrolled this year, please come to an afternoon leveling class. CLUB MEETINGS/UPCOMING EVENTS
Attention Juniors: This is a reminder that if you have not already done so you need to make an appointment with your college counselor to begin the process of scheduling for next year; after you have completed the scheduling process with your college counselor you need to have one of your parents sign your green schedule sheet and return it (with your white recommendation form) to your junior advisor. It is very important that you get this done as soon as possible
From the Dean’s Office: Dress Code Reminders:
For Girls:
Shirts must be buttoned to within 2” of the collarbone.
Shirtsleeves must extend at least 6” from the top of the shoulder.
Skirts are to be no greater than 2” above the knee.
Shoes may not have heels higher that 1.5” and no narrower than the width of the shoe.
For Boys:
Shirts must be tucked in at all times.
Pants with patch pockets are not allowed for girls or boys.
Undershirts with logos may not be worn under your dress code shirt.
Socks must be worn at all times.
Attention students: If you are interested in applying for a campus parking space for next school year, please stop by the Dean’s Office and pick up an application. Forms will be available starting on Monday, April 7 and need to be completed and returned to the Dean’s Office by Friday, May 9. Due to the anticipated number of students filling out applications, not all students will be guaranteed a spot on campus. Thanks for your understanding and please stop by the Dean’s Office with any questions.
Perspective: The deadline for Perspective submissions will be on Thursday, April 17th. If you have any art- work fiction, non-fiction, or poetry and you would like to see it published, please see one of the editors Travis Gidado, Kristin Drew, Tom Lee, Zara Day, Christina Lambiase, Elizabeth Smith or Helen Cooney for any further information.
