Word of the Day: hibernaculum • \hy-ber-NAK-yuh-lum\ noun: a shelter occupied during the winter by a dormant animal (as an insect or reptile). The park ranger explained that a good hibernaculum might be used by many different snakes year after year.

Rising Junior Representative Speeches and Voting will be held during Activities today in McGehee on Friday, April 18.

TODAYS EVENTS

Cheerleading tryouts are set for the week of April 14-18 for all girls in grades 8th-11th.
Location: Cain Gym

Friday, April 18 Tryouts begin at 4:00 p.m.

Attire: Cheerleading shorts (soffes, etc), sports bra, t-shirts (not baggy) or tank top, socks & cheer shoes or tennis shoes with a smooth (not waffle) bottom. If you have any questions, please feel free to call Coach Petrie, in the Athletic Office: 904-256-5075 or evenings 904-646-0512.

National Honor Society Members: There is a mandatory meeting during Activities Period on Friday, April 18 in the Cafeteria.  Please bring a pen and paper.  If you have a conflict please see Mr. O’Riordan beforehand.

NEW ANNOUNCEMENT

If you need community service hours and you like children, come to the Ponte Vedra Campus Spring Fling Carnival on April 27.  For more information sign up outside of B-218.

Please pay your $5.00 at the flagpole during Activities or your lunch period all this week for Denim Day on Wednesday, April 23.

Bulldog Ton helpers please meet in front of the Art Building 25 minutes into your lunch period on the days you are signed up for.

On Tuesday, April 22, the Bolles Upper School Chorus groups will be presenting their Spring Cabaret Concert in McGehee Auditorium at 7:30 p.m. Please make plans to join them for an exciting evening featuring hit songs from the musicals Hairspray, Jekyll and Hyde, Jersey Boys and The Wiz, as well as pieces from the movie Les Choristes. Senior Chorus members will be honored, so it promises to be a special night of great music!

CLUB MEETINGS/UPCOMING EVENTS

Please bring in canned goods, box cereal, pasta and other non-perishable goods for the Bulldog Ton to benefit Second Harvest Food Bank.  They can be placed in collection boxes in Bolles, Ulmer, and Schultz Hall.

Attention students:  If you are interested in applying for a campus parking space for next school year, please stop by the Dean’s Office and pick up an application.  Forms will be available starting on Monday, April 7 and need to be completed and returned to the Dean’s Office by Friday, May 9.  Due to the anticipated number of students filling out applications, not all students will be guaranteed a spot on campus.  Thanks for your understanding and please stop by the Dean’s Office with any questions.

Need community service hours? Come help us distribute clothing for Dignity-U-Wear! There will be a meeting during Activities on Wednesday, April 23 in Mrs. Lunsford's room B-231 to discuss the dates of our upcoming service project. All AP Students:  There will be a mandatory AP Pre-Administration Session on Wednesday, April 23 during Activities Period in the Cafeteria.  Bring a No. 2 pencil and be prompt.  Please contact Mrs. Denmark if you have a conflict.
