Mike Mulvey
Varsity Head Coach
Mike Mulvey was appointed head coach of the varsity lacrosse team at The Bolles School in 2007. Mulvey, an upper school English teacher, joined the Bolles' faculty in 2004. He served as an assistant coach with the varsity lacrosse team from 2005-06.
In 2005, Mulvey was named Central Florida Assistant Coach of the Year by U.S. Lacrosse.
Prior to Bolles, Mulvey spent three years as the varsity head coach of the Fairfield High School boys' lacrosse team in Fairfield, Connecticut. In 2002, he was named Connecticut Post Coach-of-the-Year for his efforts in guiding the team to its most successful season in school history with a sixth place state ranking. Before becoming head coach, Mulvey was an assistant coach with the program for three years.
Before joining the Fairfield High School staff, Mulvey served as the junior varsity coach at his alma mater—Fairfield College Preparatory School, where as a student he was a captain of the lacrosse team.
Mulvey played one year of Division I lacrosse at Fairfield University, where he went on to earn a bachelor's degree. He and his wife, Theresa, have three sons: Bolles students Connor '19 and Jack '21, and two-year-old Patrick.
Brad Sterling
Varsity Assistant Coach
Brad Sterling began coaching lacrosse at The Bolles School in 1995. He is also the director of the Jacksonville Summer Lacrosse Leagues and vice president of the Jacksonville Men's Lacrosse Club. In 1999, Sterling was named Florida High School Lacrosse Coach of the Year.
A native of Philadelphia, Sterling played lacrosse at Drexel University and went on to coach the Harriton High School lacrosse team in the Philadelphia area after graduation.
Garrett Luebker
Varsity Assistant Coach
Garrett Luebker began his second stint with the Bolles lacrosse program in 2006. He previously spent seven years on the staff beginning in the program's inaugural year.
A 1996 United States Naval Academy graduate, Luebker started 41 games in goal for the Midshipmen, ranking fourth on the program's all-time saves list.
A Long Island native, Luebker spent 13 years in the Navy as a Naval Flight Officer, flying out of NAS Jacksonville. He currently owns a residential and commercial construction company with two partners.
Randy Evans
Junior Varsity Head Coach
Randy Evans has served as the Bolles junior varsity lacrosse coach since 2003.
A 1969 graduate of Princeton University, Evans was a three-year letter winner with both the Tigers' lacrosse and hockey teams. An All-Ivy defenseman, he served as captain of the lacrosse team as a senior.
Evans attended a boarding school in New England where he played lacrosse, football, and hockey. His son Paul is a 1999 Bolles alumnus and played on the lacrosse team.
Charlie Tomm
Junior Varsity Assistant Coach
Charlie Tomm joined the junior varsity lacrosse team in 2006 after helping develop the middle school program the prior two seasons. He is President and CEO of Coggin/Courtesy Automotive Group, a trustee of Washington & Lee University, a director of HabiJax, and chair of the Jacksonville Housing Authority.
Tomm grew up near Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania, and did not play lacrosse until his freshman year at Washington & Lee. He was also a member of the football team. After serving in the Navy as a diver and submarine officer from 1968-1972, he returned to Washington & Lee for law school and became even more of a lacrosse fan as he enjoyed rooting on the national success of the team in the mid-70's.
Tomm and his wife, Anita, have a son at Bolles, Daniel, a junior on the varsity lacrosse squad.
