Head Coach

Mark Spencer

Mark Spencer became the Bolles girls' golf head coach in 2005. Spencer has guided the team to great success during his tenure. In 2006, the team placed fourth at the state tournament, winning region and district titles. In 2005, he led the Lady Bulldogs to a 12th place finish in the state tournament. Bolles also produced the Florida Times-Union's Girls' Golf Player-of-the-Year two years in a row- Amelia Lewis in 2006 and Courtney Brink in 2005.

Spencer also owns a small sales consulting company, whose clients include the University of North Florida, McCumber Golf, and Tee2Green Technologies. He also heads up game day spotting duties for the NFL's Jacksonville Jaguars.

Spencer has won several local golf events and has been a member of the PGA Cup Matches team. He played in the 2001 USGA Mid-Am in Fresno, California, and has twice advanced through local qualifying for the U.S. Open. His career low round is 64.

Spencer is originally from Oklahoma City, Oklahoma, where he played quarterback at Putnam City North High School. He and his wife, Sheryl, have two sons: Jackson Quarles and Jacob Thomas.


Will Sprague

Will Sprague

Will Sprague joined the Bolles girls' golf staff in 2005. He currently serves as the chief financial officer of McCumber Golf, a golf course design, construction, and management company.

Sprague's golf playing experience spans many levels. In 2007, he collected medalist honors with a 3-under-par 140 in the 36-hole U.S. Amateur Public Links Qualifier at St. Johns Golf and Country Club. Sprague qualified for the 2006 U.S. Mid-Amateur Championship held in Flagstaff , Arizona. He also qualified for the 1996 U.S. Public Links Championship in Kauai, Hawaii, and was the champion of the 1996 Queens Harbor Invitational on the Collegiate Player Tour.

Sprague attended DeMatha Catholic High School in Hyattsville, Maryland, lettering in golf, tennis, soccer, and cross country. He led the DeMatha Stags golf team to victory as the co-medalist in the 1992 Private Schools Championship and was a medalist in the 1992 WMAC Conference Championships. Sprague went undefeated in match play as a senior and was a First Team All-Met selection (Maryland, DC, and Virginia area).

Sprague attended the University of Florida where he was a member of the Gators' golf team. He earned his bachelor's and master's degrees in accounting from UF and is a certified public accountant.
