Christi Petrie
Head Coach
Christi Petrie became the Bolles cheerleading coach in 2001. She brings expertise and enthusiasm to the program, having served as an instructor for the National Cheerleading Association and coaching numerous area high school squads. After cheering for four years during her high school career, she went on to cheer at Valdosta State University.
She and her husband Gayle have two children. Christopher ’03 and Cameron ’05 are both graduates of Bolles. Chris was a member of the Bulldogs’ 2002 state championship baseball and football teams. He went on to start for the University of Florida baseball squad and was named to the Southeastern Conference Academic Honor Roll. Cameron was a member of the cheerleading squad at Bolles. She graduated from the University of Florida in 2009, maintaining Dean’s List status all four years.
Kimberly Newbern
Assistant CoachKimberly Newbern joined the Bolles Cheerleading program as a volunteer assistant coach in 2009. Newbern has won several awards across the nation, including first place in the Partner Stunt Competition. She also had a role in the cheerleading-themed movie “Bring It On - In it to Win It”. Newbern is owner of First Class Athletics cheer gym.
